Mozart Concerti Camerata Friends of Music Orchestra
Authentic sounds from Mozart’s era come to life through the virtuosity of the musicians of Camerata and acclaimed Greek soloists. Gut-stringed instruments, a Classical-period bassoon and transverse flute, an 1802 harp, and two fortepianos — replicas of the renowned instrument maker Anton Walter, similar to the one Mozart himself owned — engage in a dialogue between past and present under the baton of conductor George Petrou.
This highly virtuosic and diverse program radiates the infectious joy that permeates Mozart’s music: from the warm expressiveness of the Bassoon Concerto and the delicate interplay of the Concerto for Flute and Harp, to the sparkling energy of Violin Concerto No. 4 and the rare collaboration in the Concerto for Two Pianos, each work showcases the composer’s boundless imagination and genius.
From this viewpoint, Inger invites audiences to watch the action through a filter of innocence.
